1. Information We Collect
DivyaDhvani collects only the information necessary to deliver spiritual learning, personalized japa tracking, and puja marketplace services:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number (normalized to E.164 standard), and hashed passwords. Plaintext passwords and OTP codes are never logged or stored.
- Practice Data: Chanting repetition counts, japa streaks, likhita progress, and spiritual bookmarks.
- Pujari KYC Data: Professional qualifications, lineage documents, and bank details for verified purohits are stored exclusively on encrypted private storage and never accessible to the public.
2. Location Permission & Pradakshina Tracking Disclosure
Location Privacy Commitment
DivyaDhvani does not continuously track your location in the background. Location coordinates are requested and processed only while an active Pradakshina (circumambulation) session is explicitly initiated and running in your foreground browser session, subject to your device permissions.
Data Minimization: Raw GPS coordinates captured during a Pradakshina session are processed client-side to compute completed circumambulations and total distance. After session finalization, high-precision raw path waypoints may be discarded while preserving summary statistics (rounds, duration, total distance).
3. Payments & Financial Information
All online payments for puja bookings and subscriptions are processed by Razorpay, an RBI-licensed, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. DivyaDhvani does not store full credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or net banking passwords on its servers.
4. Security Safeguards
We employ modern security best practices including Strict Transport Security (HSTS), Content Security Policy (CSP), bcrypt password hashing, encrypted tokens, and strict database connection limits.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated spiritual records at any time. To request account deletion, contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@divyadhvani.in.
